Editor's Notes
#3: Regional implications
Several EM countries have introduced advanced therapies and organ transplants, but lack clear regulations, including measures to prevent organ trafficking. Ethical and regulatory frameworks are needed to ensure safe and effective treatments while protecting donors. Proper implementation will improve health outcomes, reduce costs, and promote equitable access.
#11: Aligning the participation of Palestine in the World Health Organization with its participation in the United Nations (who.int)
#12: Regional implications
Strengthening laboratory biological risk management is essential to prevent the accidental release or misuse of hazardous biological agents. A comprehensive biosafety program is needed in all laboratories handling these agents, including diagnostic, quality control, and research labs.
#13: Regional implications
The strong link between health and the economy has become more evident, especially amid current economic challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic. Better health contributes to economic growth and vice versa. In response, WHO created the Council on the Economics of Health for All (2021-2023) to guide Member States in fostering healthier, more equitable, and sustainable societies by rethinking how health is valued and distributed.
