Anna Ellingburg is a broadcast journalism student at the University of Mississippi. She has experience interning at Fox News where she covered flooding in Mississippi and spent a week at their New York City headquarters. She also produced a video for The New York Times about women's issues. As News Director and Executive Producer of the campus news station, NewsWatch Ole Miss, she assigned stories and enhanced the studio. She is proficient in editing software and camera work. She will graduate in May 2013 with a Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism from the Meek School of Journalism at Ole Miss.

I traveled to Vicksburg, MS to cover MS River flooding and spent a week at the Fox News Headquarters in NYC, learning both producing and reporting techniques from the staff. The New York Times September 28th-30th 2012 Oxford, MS I field produced one of a series of videos for the Times titled ‘War on Women’. I created a Google Hangout to air the live broadcast and arranged for two of the six women from around the country to appear on the broadcast. Reference: Alexis Mainland NewsWatch Ole Miss campus news station; streaming live daily Oxford, MS News Director January 2012-May 2012 I assigned stories of campus and city news for both anchors and reporters, while effectively communicating the goals of each show through staff meetings and enhancing studio development. Executive Producer August 2010-May 2011 I edited news and feature stories written by anchors/reporters that would air daily and helped to create a new studio image. I also assigned reporter stories and arranged on-air guests to appear on the show. Anchor January 2010-Present I brought my story-telling to the desk through writing, producing PKG’s to air on the show, improvised breaking news, as well as worked cohesively with my on-desk crew. The Daily Mississippian On-campus newspaper; distributed daily Oxford, MS Lifestyles Columnist January 2011-May 2011 I reported and interviewed predetermined assignments and wrote feature stories on both campus and city news.
