1. Personal Statement of Intent
My name is Ariel Freilich and I have been in love with ballroom dance for seven
years. My career goal is to become a competitive and teaching professional in the world
of DanceSport. I have been teaching for three years in a university setting. I love
teaching group classes (especially beginning students), private lessons, and
choreographing for wedding couples. I have taught all ages, skill levels and even
disabled students. I am DVIDA nationally certified in Bronze Smooth and Rhythm as
well as being fluent in American Sign Language. I have cross trained for five years in
modern, jazz, flamenco and ballet and feel comfortable teaching classes in all these
styles. I have also trained, choreographed, and performed in theatre arts. I have been part
of a very close team for seven years and therefor team work and camaraderie was a
necessity.
I am looking for a studio that has a very supportive environment. Supportive of
teach other, of professional individual competition, and furthering the employees
education by bringing in professional training. A studio who will encourage their
teachers to add personality to the required teaching method. I am looking for a studio to
call home.
