A Brief Biographical Sketch
Dr. Harveer Singh Pali
Born in October 1980 at Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, India, Dr. Harveer Singh Pali did his education
at MJP Rohilkhand University Bareilly, Utter Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow and Delhi
Technological University, Delhi. His specialization is Internal Combustion Engines and alternative
fuels. His research area is development of various biodiesels and their utilization in the diesel
engines.
Dr. Harveer Singh Pali has over 13 years of experience of industry, teaching and research,
which includes more than 9 years at NIET Greater Noida affiliated by APJ Abdul Kalam Technical
University Lucknow (formerly UPTU Lucknow), where he is currently an Associate Professor in
Mechanical Engineering Department. Besides teaching at UG and PG levels, he has made a
significant contribution to R&D in the area of alternative fuels for utilization in Internal
Combustion Engines. He has guided numbers of PG and UG students.
Dr. Harveer Singh Pali has published more than 25 papers in national and international
journals of repute. He is a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education, member of
Society of Fusion Science and Technology and also a member of the Society of Automotive
Engineers.
His area of research includes development of biodiesel from non-edible oil and
optimization using response surface methodology, performance, and emission and combustion
studies for these fuels in C.I. engines. His career objectives include to impart quality education to
students and applied academic research in the field of performance, emission, combustion of
biodiesel and the development of need based alternative green technologies.
