Project Responsibilities
Managing VMware ESXi servers on CISCO UCS Blades:
 Provisioning the VM depending on the request and getting the Capacity management approval
prior to start the deployment using the templates
 Monitoring the ESXi server’s resource (CPU, RAM and data store) utilization and maintaining with in
threshold value by migrating the virtual machines to different ESX host and data store using the
VSphere client without any outage.
 Performing V2V and P2V Migration.
 Extending LUN and RDM Mapping to the Host and Virtual machines
 Adding Esxi Host to the Vcenter server.
 Creating Baseline and Updating patches on the Esxi Host.
 Configuring Alarms and SMTP to deliver the Alerts to recipient mailbox.
 Maintaining the standard template for different operating systems with all the applicable patches
and standard application that we will be using for deploying the new virtual machines.
 Creating VMs using OVA Template and VMware Vcenter server.
