Performance-Based Seismic Design
The highlights of my PhD dissertation are as below:
 Calibrating the wood-frame buildings in the portfolio using a nonlinear degrading hysteresis model
 Performing nonlinear time-history analysis on the calibrated models using software MATLAB
 Developing hazard curves for mainshocks and aftershocks
 Developing collapse fragility curves for the mainshock-only and mainshock+aftershock scenarios
 Convolution of the fragility curves with site-specific hazard curves to get collapse probabilities (Risk Integral)
 Finding the change needed in design to account for the aftershock hazard
