Started out as equipment operator worked my way up supply manager then
mine foreman with one of the largest draglines stripping in ky .Then i was
moved to a new mine .Muhlenberg coal wild game mine.I moved first drill
and dozer in .Stayed at mine til reclamation was finish and equipment
moved out.I laid last 3 men off and locked gate .
With no mine to go to a friend help me get started ironworking .Started out on
ground worked my way to connector.Then started pushing crews.As my
reputation grew for getting work done correctly and on time company,s
started requesting me to run crews.I pushed crews at AK
Steel ,Paradise ,corvette plant, Saturn and to many small job to name.
I was injured at corvette plant on july 14 04 keeping several others from
getting hurt.after years of sugeries and therapy I am in good shape and
ready to return to work.I went to school for safety management .Have
completed construction safety ,will be industry specialist 2nd week in august .
With my 25 years in construction and mining .My new safety training I will be a
great fit in any program.Working toward a new future

As foreman : pick right men for work, interpret prints , set up cranes to be
efficient for least amount of moves, inspect iron , place in needed
position for erection. set conveyor,s, drop lifters, skillet lines lay out work ,
instruct apprentices , conduct safe meetings, access problems and
make corrections , report to upper management.

oversee blasting , maintance , build roads & ramps , inspect highwall check
for gas , water quality, daily mine reports,
I specifically made sure coal run was ready never missed but 1 day to much
rain not enough pumps. We called for 2 more 6 inch pumps and ran coal
next day.
