With no mine to go to a friend help me get started ironworking .Started out on ground worked my way to connector.Then started pushing crews.As my reputation grew for getting work done correctly and on time company,s started requesting me to run crews.I pushed crews at AK Steel ,Paradise ,corvette plant, Saturn and to many small job to name. I was injured at corvette plant on july 14 04 keeping several others from getting hurt.after years of sugeries and therapy I am in good shape and ready to return to work.I went to school for safety management .Have completed construction safety ,will be industry specialist 2nd week in august . With my 25 years in construction and mining .My new safety training I will be a great fit in any program.Working toward a new future Foreman03/1992 to 07/2004
EDUCATION ironworkers # 492 - Nashville, TN As foreman : pick right men for work, interpret prints , set up cranes to be efficient for least amount of moves, inspect iron , place in needed position for erection. set conveyor,s, drop lifters, skillet lines lay out work , instruct apprentices , conduct safe meetings, access problems and make corrections , report to upper management. Certified Mine Foreman KY muhlenberg coal - Drakesboro, KY Run all aspects of mining from building road in to reclaiming road on way out : oversee blasting , maintance , build roads & ramps , inspect highwall check for gas , water quality, daily mine reports, I specifically made sure coal run was ready never missed but 1 day to much rain not enough pumps. We called for 2 more 6 inch pumps and ran coal next day. 03/1981 to 12/1992 My cert is in construction.I currently have 144.50 hrs. I have 2 classes to go to be industry certified .Finish in aug. with 199 hrs.Double OSHA Certified: OSHA Safety Eastern Kentucky University - Richmond, KY, USA Certified safety and health specialist in construction I have 144.50 hrs in safety 2 more classes iI will be double certified Certified Safety industry 2nd week of august will have 199 hrs 2014 I completed OSHA safety specialist training Certified specialist in both construction & general industry finished with 188 1/2 hours Eastern Kentucky University.
