Revised SmithOUT SUSA Presentation
PURPOSE
  "SmithOUT" is established for the expressed
 purpose of creating an official LGBTA presence
    within the Smith community in order to
     provide opportunities for professional
 development and social networking for LGBTA
        students interested in Business.
MEMBERSHIP
 Limited to persons officially connected with the University of
  Maryland, College Park as currently enrolled students

 To become a member of SmithOUT, interested persons must attend one
  organization meeting per semester

 To maintain voting membership:
     1. Attendance of at least 50% of all meetings during a given school year (Fall &
      Spring).
     2. Members must be currently enrolled undergraduate students
     3. "SmithOUT does not restrict membership or discriminate on the basis of
      race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender
      expression, marital status, personal appearance, age, national origin, political
      affiliation, physical or mental disability, or on the basis of rights secured by the
      First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

 VP of Admin: Kem Golding

 VP of Finance: Kevin Urban

 VP of Marketing: Kevin Hollander

 Faculty/Staff Advisor: Jason DeSanto Jones
ELECTION PROCESS
 All officers shall be elected by a majority vote of eligible voting
  members of "SmithOUT."
 All elections will be held on an annual basis during the month of
  April with at least one weeks notice given prior to the meeting
  where elections are to be held.
 Terms of office shall begin immediately upon adjournment of the
  election meeting.
 The President will take nominations from the floor, the nomination
  process must be closed and the movement seconded. The
  nominated parties will be allowed to vote.
 All voting shall be done by secret ballot to be collected and
  tabulated

 Amusement Park Trip (Spring or Early Fall)
 Alumni Networking Nights
 Employer Presentations
 DC Trips (professional, business and advocacy)
 *Joint Partnerships
  (ALPFA/NABA/ABA/LGBT/Womens
  Society/Smith Pride Alliance)
 New York Trip (Spring)
VISION FOR FALL 2012
 For our first semester SmithOUT intends to
  make the Smith and greater Maryland
  community aware of its presence
      One Kick off event
      Series of speakers open to whole business school to
       generate awareness of our group and also provide
       networking opportunities to all students that attend
      Other trips, activities, and events (as previously listed)
       will be executed throughout the first two semesters,
       keeping in mind the heavy emphasis will be on the kick
       off event and the speaker series
