This document discusses the schematic life cycle from data to end users. It describes a prototype created to allow end users to produce and maintain schematic diagrams from a central network repository using ESRI schematics. The prototype generates schematic diagrams, allows for handmade modifications, and validates diagrams for inclusion in a library available to projects. The prototype is accepted by end users but still has open questions around network maintenance and versioning that could be addressed by collaborating with European railway network managers and ESRI to improve the schematic builder for rail applications.

One project ask us to :
Produce schematic diagrams to his own needs,
Keep this schematic diagrams up to date,
Keep the link with our network repository
What we have done :
Collect geographic data to complete our network
Run ESRI schematics to generate schematic diagrams
Imagine an access to a schematic diagrams library for all projects
Prototype a solution to end users

7. Conclusion
Our prototype is accepted by end-users
Capitalization : we prove that we can reuse all the works we have
done for the past years (e.g: webmapping / railview)
Production : we use ESRI Schematics, we have to maintain
network repository / cartography & schematics for our whole
network
But we still have a lot of question

8. Conclusion
We have an opportunity here to
Collect the needs of european railway networks managers
And then work with ESRI to
