Rockefeller Global Leadership Program
We seek to educate, train, and inspire the next generation of leaders in all endeavors
RGLP has provided me with the opportunity to meet other students interested in a global learning experience. It has also made me more aware that Dartmouth has a wonderfully diverse student body with many different cultural experiences and per- ceptions. Courtney Wong 15
 Learning Objectives
 What is RGLP?
RGLP is offered every fall, winter, spring term.
All first-year students, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to apply any time during the academic year but students must note the deadlines at the end of each application cycle.
The selection process involves reviewing the applications and interviewing candidates.
While participation in the Management and Leadership Development Program (MLDP) is not a pre-requisite, completion of MLDP will strongly increase a candidates chances of being accepted into the program.
The Rockefeller Global Leadership Program (RGLP) is a one-term program that prepares Dartmouth students to work in a global environment in which ideas, capital and people move freely across borders. In this global environment, close collaboration is critical in order to address the most pressing issues facing our society.
Leaders in this fluid network need a variety of tools to successfully navigate professional and interpersonal situations, namely: cultural understanding, flexibility, communication skills, and an ability to fully utilize technology that brings us face to face with people who share our goals but maybe not our culture, world view or communication style. Through various activities, in- depth discussions, and a weekend learning experience in either Montreal, Boston, or NYC students will become equipped with the aforementioned skills vital to their success.
 Improve intercultural communication
 Develop cross-cultural understanding
Enhance critical and analytical thinking skills within a global framework
 Develop a global consciousness
Increase appreciation of diversity, especially within a team setting
 Benefits for Students
RGLP is the perfect program for students who intend to:
Engage with the greater Dartmouth community with intercultural sophistication and confidence
Participate in Off-Campus Programs, including LSAs, ASBs and FSPs
Study abroad on non-Dartmouth related programs; and
 Take leave terms to intern or volunteer in foreign countries;
Beyond Dartmouth, the program will benefit any student who wishes to work effectively in a 21st century workplace, working interpersonally across cultures
