RightScale provides cloud management software and recently closed a $15M funding round, bringing their total venture capital raised to $62.8M. They were also named a 2013 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. While large IT vendors talk up cloud trends, RightScale focuses on helping customers adopt hybrid cloud strategies across multiple providers, which 68% of their survey respondents are pursuing.

- The further you are from cloud, and the less experience you have in it, the few distinctions you can make.Most of our clients are quite close to cloud.
- Within the IaaS cloud space, there are a number of major public cloud providers we support.
- Lesser known is that many SaaS offers (eg. Dropbox, not one of our clients, but well known) is a SaaS which is built on top of an IaaS.
