RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN INDIVIDUAL IN A
DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY
ï‚¢ Every individual should participate in the elections
either as a voter or as a candidate,
ï‚¢ Women should take part in democratic process
ï‚¢ Minorities should feel themselves secure under
democratic rule
ï‚¢ An individual, who become a member of any
legislation parliament or any public institution
should consider himself as a public servant.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN INDIVIDUAL IN A
DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY
ï‚¢Religious freedom has to be given to
everybody, that they should not hate
any other religion
ï‚¢The abled individuals should join the
defense forces and contribute their
services in maintaining peace and
tranquility.
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES OF CITIZEN IN INDIAN
SOCIETY
ï‚¢To abide by the constitution and respect
its ideal and institution, the National Flag
and the National Anthem.
ï‚¢To cherish and follow the noble ideals
which inspired our national struggle of
freedom.
ï‚¢The uphold and protect the sovereignty,
unit and integrity of India.
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES OF CITIZEN IN INDIAN
SOCIETY
ï‚¢To defend the country and render
national service when called upon to
do so
ï‚¢To promote harmony and the sprit of
common brotherhood amongst all the
people of India transcending religious,
linguistic and regional or sectional
diversities.
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES OF CITIZEN IN INDIAN
SOCIETY
ï‚¢ To protect and improve the natrual
environment including forests, lakes, rivers
and wild life and to have compassion for living
creatures.
ï‚¢ To safeguard public property and to adjure
violence
ï‚¢ To strive towards excellence in all spheres of
individual and collective activity so that the
national constantly rises to higher levels of
endeavor and achievement

ï‚¢ Sovereignty - supreme power or authority.
ï‚¢ Tranquility - the quality or state of being tranquil;
calm.
ï‚¢ Endeavor - try hard to do or achieve something.
ï‚¢ Compassion - sympathetic pity and concern for the
sufferings or misfortunes of others.
