The client, The Northern Echo, has commissioned the creation of a new magazine targeted at people aged 16-25. The magazine must be self-financed through advertising or sales. Research was conducted on the target audience which is 60% male, aged 16-24, from socioeconomic groups C1, C2, and D. The content will focus on topics like music and entertainment. Mockups were created and feedback was gathered. Financial projections show the magazine can turn a profit from advertising income and sales, with a net profit of over 贈20,000.

From my reader profile; 24 hours is spent every week online, per reader; therefore I have included an article called Stalking band
members. This will be an entertainment article but involves using the internet.
They also like trying new things, from this and other research Ive done into my target audience, like surveys and questionnaires,
Ive produced an article on guitar playing for beginners, Ive received a lot of positive feedback from this as majority of my target
audience are generally interested in this subject.

NME is a lot more basic and plain compared to Kerrang, but is still a good and eye grabbing look

Kerrang like to make their titles and kickers stand out more
than NME do, so they normally take up about a quarter of the
page.
The eyeline of the imagery in both magazines
is always above the top third of the page.
