4. IN YOUR PAST JOBS, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY YOU LEARNED IN TERMS OF BEST AND
WORST LESSONS THAT IMPACTED YOU AND HOW YOU MANAGE OTHERS TODAY?
ONE OF THE BEST LESSONS THAT I LEARNED WAS TO ACKNOWLEDGE OTHERS CONCERNS AND KEEP AN
OPEN MIND. IF SOMEONE IN MY COMPANY THINKS THAT A CERTAIN THING COULD BE DONE BETTER OR MORE
EFFICIENT, IT IS IMPORTANT TO ADDRESS THEIR CONCERN AND TRY OUT OPTIONS THEY SUGGEST IN ORDER
TO HAVE A SMOOTH OPERATION. ONE OF THE WORST LESSONS I LEARNED WAS, JUST BECAUSE IM THE
BOSS, THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT I CAN LEAVE MY COMPANY IN THE HANDS OF MY EMPLOYEES AND TAKE A
VACATION WHENEVER I WANT. THE COMPANY CAN FALL APART IF ITS NOT LEFT IN TRUSTED HANDS, WHICH
IS WHY IVE HAD TO START OVER MULTIPLE TIMES.
5. WHY DID YOU JOIN THIS COMPANY FROM
ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES OUT THERE?
I THINK ITS MORE OF A WHY DID THIS
COMPANY WORK, AND OTHERS DIDNT?
THATS BECAUSE I HAD HELP THIS TIME. I
FOUND A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS THAT
SHARED THE SAME VISION I DID, AND WE
BUILT THIS COMPANY TOGETHER.
6. WHAT WOULD YOU THINK WOULD BE THE MOST BASIC PRE-
REQUISITES OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION?
WITH WORKING WITH ANY KIND OF COMPANY YOU NEED THE BASICS OF BEING ABLE TO READ AND WRITE,
BUT WITH THIS TYPE OF COMPANY YOU NEED SOME ESSENTIALS, SUCH AS:
HAVING BASIC WRITING SKILLS, COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND A GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF MUSIC. IN
THE SENSE OF EDUCATIONAL IS CONCERNED: YOU WOULD NEED A BACHELORS IN BUSINESS OR A
VARIATION TYPE OF DEGREE. I RECEIVED MY MASTERS IN SOUND ENGINEERING WITH A MINOR IN MUSIC
PRODUCTION.
7. IN YOUR OWN WORDS, WHAT WOULD YOU THINK ARE THE MOST
CRITICAL SKILLS ILL NEED AS A MANAGER TO LEAD THEIR OWN TEAM
AND BE SUCCESSFUL?
EMPATHY IS PROBABLE THE BIGGEST SKILL THAT A MANAGER
NEED TO HAVE, IN MY OPINION. YOU NEED TO HAVE AN
UNDERSTANDING OF WHERE OTHERS ARE COMING FROM, AND
WHAT THEY MAY BE EXPERIENCING IN THEIR LIVES.
8. WHAT DOES YOUR COMPANY DO THAT OTHER
EMPLOYERS DONT FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES?
WE OFFER THEM AN OPPORTUNITY TO FULFILL THEIR DREAM. EVERYONE
DREAMS OF BEING A ROCKSTAR , AND WE GIVE THEM THE PLATFORM TO DO
JUST THAT.
9. WHAT TYPE OF FEEDBACK SYSTEM DOES
YOUR COMPANY USE FOR WHEN THERE
IS A WORKPLACE DIFFERENCE?
WE JUST USE THE DIRECT SYSTEM. ANY TYPE OF
FEEDBACK SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO MYSELF, OR
THE PERSON THAT IT INVOLVES."
10. AFTER CONDUCTING MY INTERVIEW WITH JONATHAN, I AM VERY IMPRESSED BY HIS KNOWLEDGE OF THE COMPANY AND THE INDUSTRY. HIS PERSPECTIVE
AND EXPERTISE IS INVALUABLE AND I CAN SEE WHY HE IS A CEO. HIS WILLINGNESS TO TALK TO ME ALSO PROVES THAT HE CARES ABOUT THE LITTLE GUY
AND HAS THE FORESIGHT TO SEE THAT EVENTUALLY HELL NEED TO RETIRE AND WILL NEED TO PASS THE TORCH TO A YOUNGER GENERATION TO EVENTUALLY
LEAD THE WAY. HES WILLING TO LEAD A NEW GENERATION. I ALSO LEARNED THE IMPORTANCE OF HOW MUCH HE APPRECIATES PEOPLE IIN GENERAL, ALL
CREEDS AND COLORS, NO MATTER WHAT. HONESTLY, I COULD SEE MYSELF IN THE FUTURE TAKING ON THIS KIND OF ROLE AND LEADING MY OWN COMPANY.
WITH MY EXPERIENCE AS A GENERAL MANAGER I ALREADY HAVE SOME KNOW HOW JUST WOULD NEED TO POLISH MYSELF UP.
11. I CAN HONESTLY SEE MYSELF EVENTUALLY IN THIS
KIND OF ROLE, BEING A CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF A
COMPANY. I HAVE BASIC EXPERIENCE IN LEADING A
COMPANY FROM MY TIME BEING A GM. I ALSO
ACKNOWLEDGE THE NEED TO GET MORE EXPERIENCE
IN THE FIELD OF LEADING A COMPANY AS WELL. IM
NOT PERFECT BUT I AM WILLING TO LEARN AND GET
MY FOOT IN THE DOOR TO LEARN. I WANT TO MASTER
THIS PART OF THE BUSINESS TO BE AS SUCCESSFUL
AS HE IS. IM GREAT AT GRINDING IT OUT AND
PUTTING MY NOSE IN THE BOOKS SO TO SPEAK. I
ENJOY PEOPLE AND CAN HONESTLY TALK TO A TREE IF I
NEEDED TOO. I JUST NEED TO WORK ON MY
FUNDAMENTALS.

ARTISTS ALBUMS AND PUTTING TOGETHER A VERY
POLISHED PRODUCT AND THEN COMING UP WITH A PLAN
WITH THEM ON HOW TO GO ABOUT MARKETING THEM AS
A PRODUCT. I WOULD ALSO SAY WITH THAT, IN MY BAND
THAT I AM IN MYSELF, BY BEING ON AND SHARING THE
STAGE WITH NATIONAL ACTS.
16. WHAT PATH DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO YOUR CURRENT
POSITION IN THE COMPANY?
IT REALLY CAME DOWN TO THROUGH NETWORKING, ITS ABOUT WHO YOU KNOW, THE MUSIC BUSINESS
CAN BE CUTTHROAT. BUT ALSO, THE BUSINESS IS WIDE AND VAST AND YOU CAN MEET A LOT OF VERY GOOD
HONEST WORKING PEOPLE WHO REALLY CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER AND GIVING EACH AND EVERYONE AN
OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED. I HAD EXPERIENCE IN THIS WITH WORKING WITH OTHER MUSICIANS THAT IVE
PLAYED SHOWS WITH. ITS A TIGHT KNIT COMPLEX COMMUNITY.
17. WHY DID YOU JOIN THIS COMPANY FROM
ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES OUT THERE?
IT WAS AN IDEAL CHOICE TO PURSUE THIS
COMPANY OVER ANOTHER THAT I HAD BEEN
PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED WITH. THEY REALLY CARE
ABOUT THEIR PEOPLE AND HAVING THEM SUCCEED
IN THEIR OWN ENDEAVORS AND NOT JUST WORK
BASED . THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT THE OVERALL
INDIVIDUAL AND MAKING THEM AN INTEGRAL PART
OF THE FAMILY THAT THEY HAVE BUILT WITHIN THE
COMPANY. FOR ME, IT WAS A NO-BRAINER.

18. HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO MOTIVATE YOUR TEAM
MEMBERS/EMPLOYEES AND HAVE THEM FEEL LIKE THEIR
VOICE MATTERS AND BRING THEIR UTMOST BEST TO
THE ORGANIZATION?
I PERSONALLY LIKE TO COMPLIMENT THEIR
PERFORMANCE AND LISTEN TO EACH PERSONS
IDEAS. THEYRE HERE FOR A REASON AND IF
SOMETHING DOESNT SIT RIGHT WITH THEM, THEN IF
WE HAVE A HEALTHY EXCHANGE OF IDEAS, THEN WE
CAN ONLY BECOME BETTER.
19. WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST SATISFYING AND THE MOST
CHALLENGING ABOUT MANAGING YOUR EMPLOYEES?
IT ISNT TOO DIFFICULT AT ALL. IT IS SO FAR A WELL-OILED MACHINE. IT IS ALWAYS SAID THAT IF YOU
LOVE WHAT YOU DO ,YOULL NEVER WORK A DAY IN YOUR LIFE. RIGHT NOW, THATS HOW IT IS. EVERYONE
GETS ALONG REALLY WELL AND WE BOUNCE OFF EACH OTHER IN A WAY I NEVER THOUGHT ID SEE.
20. WHEN YOU DO 1 ON 1S WITH YOUR EMPLOYEES AND TEAM
MEMBERS, WHAT VARIABLES, SKILLS AND FACTORS ARE
MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU?
I STRIVE TO GIVE THE BEST ADVICE I CAN BASED ON THE
INDIVIDUALS SKILL SET. WE ALL FAIL IN CERTAIN AREAS, AND WE ALL
SUCCEED VERY WELL IN ANOTHER. I MOSTLY LOOK AT THEIR
DEDICATION, THEIR LOYALTY, THEIR PUNCTUALITY AND THEIR WORK
ETHIC. THOSE CAN TELL ME A LOT ABOUT THEM.
21. FINAL THOUGHTS
After conducting my interview with Christopher I soon came to realize that he is a man of the people. he is an incredibly
laid-back guy who goes into depth with his answers and really thinks about how his decisions affect the company, his
personal life and the artists involved in the process. Hes a great potential role model for what kind of employee and
manager that I would want to be in my own career. I can only hope that I can take some of his great character and make it my
own. He loves his customers, his colleagues and the everyday type of man/woman that he may come in contact with. I highly
respect him, and I hope to one day meet again.
Honestly, I could see this as a legitimate stepping-stone to get to my dream job.
