 A HUMANOID WAS DESIGNED TO TEACH LEARNERS, AND ALSO HELP HUMAN TEACHERS IN ORDER TO
MAKE THEIR LIVES EASIER
 THE HUMAN ROBOT DESIGNED IN FRENCH FIRM ALDEBARAN ROBOTICS, HAS BEEN USED AS A TEACHING
RESOURCE FOR CHILDREN SINCE 2013.
 THE PROGRAM AIMS TO IMPROVE THEIR SOCIAL INTERACTION AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

 RECORDING MARKS OF ONLINE ASSESSMENT
 CREATING REPORTS CARDS
 A ROBOT CAN MAKE COPIES IN THE CLASS WITHOUT GOING TO THE STAFFROOM WHICH SAVES TIME
 ROBOTS CAN PROVIDE CLEAR AND EFFECTIVE INSTRUCTIONS
 A ROBOT CAN TEACH A LESSON MORE THAN ONCE WITHOUT GETTING TIRED
TASKS THAT A ROBOT TEACHER CAN DO
BETTER
 ROBOTS CAN ATTEND ALL CLASSES TROUGH OUT THE YEAR, WITHOUT ANY SICK LEAVE
 ROBOTS CAN MANAGE TIME
 ROBOTS CAN MANAGE TO REMAIN NEUTRAL AND NOT BE BIASED IN THE CLASS (NO FAVOURITISM)
 ROBOTS ARE MORE PRODUCTIVE AND EFFECTIVE THAN TEACHERS, SINCE THEY DO NOT GET TIRED
THE ROLE OF THE TEACHER
 THERE ARE THINGS THAT A ROBOT CANNOT DO, SUCH AS CONNECTING WITH LEARNERS ON A HUMAN TO
HUMAN LEVEL
 WHEN MARKING THE ROBOT STRICTLY USES A MEMORANDUM, WHILE A HUMAN TEACHER CAN TRY TO
UNDERSTAND THE LEARNERS ANSWER AND MARK ACCORDINGLY
 LEV VYGOTSKY EMPHASISED THAT HUMANS LEARN MORE THROUGH INTERACTION.
 INTERACTIONS ARE MEANINGLESS IF EMOTIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED.
 THEREFORE, EVEN IF THE WORLD WILL BE DOMINATED BY ROBOT TEACHERS, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A
NEED FOR A HUMAN TEACHER.
WILL TEACHERS STILL BE NEEDED?
 A ROBOT DOES NOT HAVE FEELINGS OR ANY KIND OF EMOTION
 HUMAN TEACHERS CAN BE ABLE TO CONNECT WITH LEARNERS ON A PERSONAL LEVEL
 ROBOTS CAN BE PROGRAMMED TO TEACH AND REPEAT ONE LESSON OVER AND OVER AGAIN, BUT THEY
CAN NEVER BE INCLUSIVE, AND SUPPORTIVE TO LEARNERS BARRIERS.
 IT CAN ONLY TAKE A HUMAN TO SPOT A STRUGGLING LEARNER AND BE ABLE TO GIVE SUPPORT TO HIM OR
HER.
 THEREFORE, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A NEED FOR A HUMAN TEACHER
