Isis Garstang- Rock Show Review For our firstshowwe dida Rock radioshow where we playedavarietyof differentrocksongswhich where some of ourfavourites.We played10songs whichwe're a mixedvarietyof rocksongsfrom differentbands,fromthe bandswe like andsome well known bandsof thisgenre.We didthisforan hour we alsohad a 10 minute speechelement,were we talkedaboutgeneral stuff,tointeractwith the audience andto make itseemlike theyare partof the show,and we spoke betweensongs, whenannouncing them. Mixingbetweensongswasquite easybecause we hadgottenusedtousingthe equipment,and became familiarwithit,suchastuningout one songand puttinganotherone onwithouttheirbeing any deadair inbetweenandtogive ita more professional soundingtootherpeople.When recordingthe showthe one thingwe foundquite difficultwasusingthe micsbecause we hadtoget the speechsoundquite highenoughforpeopletohear,butinsome parts of the show some of the speechisquite whichwasa bigdifficultybutwe workedpastit.The targetaudience forourshow was a for teenagerswhoenjoylisteningtorockmusic,usingthe mixingboardgotsome gettingused to but whenwe gotusedto itthenmixingthe songinand out andavoidinghavingdeadairbetween the songsso thenthe showwouldn'tsoundunprofessional,alsothismade ussticktothe schedule and make sure all the songsand everythingthatwe have tosay duringthe show wasdone withinan hour.Afterpracticinginthe radio rooma few timeswhenusingthe mixingboard,andmakingsure we knewhowto use the micsand everythingelsewe needed,itmade the recordingprocessalot easierandafterthe firstfewminutesof the show we hadgottencomfortable withusingthe equipment,andspeakingasif itwason a real broadcastedshow,one of the micsat the beginning part of the showwasquite buttheneventuallyafterfiguringoutthatwe had to speaka bit louder and thenthe restof the showwentsmoother. I thinkforthe firstshowwe didwe usedthe mixingboardsquite well butwe didstruggle atthe beginningof the showusingthe mixingboardsbecause we startedpanickingtryingtogetthe song on straightafterwe playedthe jingle becauseof the shortamountof time betweenbutaftergetting the timingsrightwe knewexactlywhatwe neededtodo.I thinknexttime we will domuchbetter nowwe have had some practise usingeverythingandgettingusedtoeverythingsowe wontpanic as much,plusnow we knowthatone of the mics dontworkproperlysowe know to speaklouder than we didso there isntquitpartsduringthe nextshow.
