- 8. Impact to Valerie Browning ? Afar people are finally recognized. No one knew of their existence prior to THE ONE. Today many generous people are coming forward offering to help further. ? Final impact is far beyond the US$100,000 given to Valerie as we have improved the livelihood of over 1.2 million Afar people.

- 13. Valerie Ann Taylor Bangladesh "Her work restoring the lives of the paralyzed here in Bangladesh is truly unparalleled. She has great compassion for the neglected members of Bangladesh's society.

How Valerie plans to use THE ONE money: Award Prize: USD 100,000 To build 2 hostels: 1. for the disabled school going children at Center for Rehabilitation of the Paralysed. 2. for those patients undergoing physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, provision of wheeled mobility aids and artificial limbs and orthoses. Donation: HKD 71,000 - support the work of Spinal Cord Injury Development Association in Bangladesh.

- 16. Enrico Sala Switzerland "Enrico has poured his heart and soul into the poor and needy of Cambodia. To see him work in such remote areas is truly an inspiration.
- 17. How Enrico plans to use THE ONE money: Award Prize: USD 50,000 + Donation: HKD 66,000 Construct a brand new maternity hospital in Cambodia that will serve a community of 50,000 people.

Implementing Due Diligence THE ONE 2013 * 50% of award money was sent to all the winner and all the finalists for them to start working on their projects after they submitted their plans for how the money would be used, upon approval by THE ONE Organizing Committee Our major donor Peter Bennett or a ONE OC member will visit each of the finalists project sites to ensure the integrity of the project. Once THE ONE OC accepts the project progress, we will send awardees the balance money for them to finish their projects.

Implementing Due Diligence THE ONE 2014 We will set up a stewardship sub-committee to conduct and ensure that all is in order All the awardees also have to submit mid-term reports and final report under certain criteria before they can receive the final portion of the award money. All Bills and expenses have to be reported and copies sent to us.
