Facility is an existing 840,000 SF 150 dock position warehouse with a 32ft clear height on 50 acres
of property. The facility will be subdivided with a demising wall and 240,000 SF will be isolated
for the client. The building systems are being updated to provide a true multi-tenant facility.
Essendants 600,000 SF space will receive numerous facility upgrades including MEPF, 60 dock
positions, floor condition, and general aesthetics, a refurbished 15,000 SF two (2) story office, new
4,000 SF remote office, a new building entry, as well as security related site upgrades. The
buildings roof was also surveyed and a value engineered solution was found to re-roof the entire
structure at a minimal cost and create a single warranty.
I worked with the client and tenant to manage design and drawing development. Value
engineering exercises were completed to optimize project cost and quality. Created budget and
project schedule allowing the owner to negotiate a lease with the client in a timely fashion.
Exeter Property Group- Chewy.com Warehouse Expansion and Renovation $9.3M

The facility is a 176,000 SF forty (40) dock position expansion to an existing 440,000 SF
warehouse with a 29ft clear height on 61 acres of property for Exeter Property Group. The end user
was Chewy.com. The existing warehouse received a new 5,000 SF office, break room,
maintenance area, and two remote bathrooms. The site included a new loop road with an
underground retention basin. Logistic challenges included completing the expansion, while
demolishing their existing loop road, without interrupting their existing operations for even a day.
The overall completion schedule was aggressive for a project of this size and detail.
I worked with client and tenant to manage the design and drawing development. I created the
project budget. Managed the permitting process. Value engineering exercises were completed to
optimize project cost and quality. Developed all scopes of work, all contracts, and managed the
design change process to minimize changes to the client. Managed and reviewed submittals.

Burlington Coat Factory Structural Upgrades To Support Conveyor and Mezzanine $1.5M

At the just completed facility the tenant wanted to expand their conveyor system and add a
mezzanine structure. The added conveyor and mezzanine were to be both roof and floor supported
due to the loading of the structure and clear requirements. The project required a coordinated
design and construction effort to reinforce the building and to turn over large areas of the
warehouse for the conveyor contractor to ensure the tenants immediate use of the new systems.

Whitesell Construction- Burlington Coat Factory Parking and Dock Expansion $1.5M
At the just completed facility the client has moved up their improvement timeline. This project
included the addition of a lighted 300 car parking lot, an 80 trailer parking lot, and 23 additional
dock positions spread through the facility. The challenge was to complete this work without
interrupting their existing operations or compromising off-hours security while cutting the
openings in the facility.

acres of property for Whitesell Construction. The end user was Burlington Stores (Formerly
Burlington Coat Factory). The challenges included maintaining schedule while competing with
large unforeseen clay deposits, a sandy soil prone to washout after even normal rain events, and
high constant winds at the Delaware River location. Project was turned over on initial contract
date.

The 60,000 SF three story Ortliebs bottling plant is a designated historic structure in Philadelphia.
It was once home to the bottling and shipping operations for the Ortliebs Brewery. The Kieren-
Timberlake Architectural firm acquired to property to house their main office. The building was in
near ruin condition when work began. All new MEPF systems were required, structural steel had
to be reinforced, windows replaced, and large sections of fa巽ade rebuilt all while maintaining
historical accuracy.
Helped to develop roof and fa巽ade restoration plans. Wrote all scopes of work, all contracts, all
RFIs, and all Change Orders. Maintained submittals. Bid out project and provide estimates of work
for major change orders greater than 10% of base contract value. Create and maintain project
schedule, oversee Superintendent, responsible for subcontractor coordination.
Cedar Grove Mansion Restoration Philadelphia Museum of Arm $1.2M

Project was the full restoration of a 300 year old house located in Philadelphias Fairmont Park.
The roof, front porch, stucco, and brick work all needed substantial stabilization efforts. The
electrical system was upgraded and a discrete HVAC system was added to stop future degradation.
Sitework included storm water management systems and a sprinkler system on the 遜 acre property.
Created and maintained project schedule, responsible for day to day on site construction activities
and subcontractor coordination. Also responsible for quality control. Became involved once project
was over budget, assigned to minimize any further general conditions costs.
Kimmel Center Restaurant $3.78M

The Kimmel Center is a cultural icon in Philadelphia housing the Orchestra, off broadway shows,
and art gallery functions. It is located on The Avenue of the Arts two blocks from city hall. The
challenge included building a high end restaurant for Chef Jose Garces in the active Kimmel
Center without disturbing the function of the building.
I bid out the project to subcontractors. I assisted with the preconstruction RFIs, design build
elements, and wrote preliminary construction schedules.
Frankford Friends New Middle School Building $1.6M

This project was the construction of a new 15,000 SF middle school building for the Frankford
Friends Private School. It is located adjacent to their 1750s original school house in the middle of
a busy block in North-East Philadelphia. Challenges included unsuitable subsurface conditions, an
urban enviorment, an active playground 50ft from the construction site, and a church collapsing
across the street.
I created and maintained project schedule, as built documents, and all RFIs. Responsible for day to
day on site construction activities and subcontractor coordination. Responsible for quality control.
4. West Chester University FHG Library Green Roof $365,000

The project included creating a green space outside the second floor of the library at West Chester
University. An unsightly first floor roof was visible outside the second floor windows of the library.
A green space with seating was added to the roof. Access to the roof was added. The roof structure

Lombard Swim Club- Garden and Hardscape Restoration $300,000

Members of the club included several Phillies and Eagles players. The patio outside of the pool was

added, the roof to the locker room was repaired, and a new stamped concrete patio was added.

Rodin Museum Envelope Restoration and Garden Rejuvenation $3.85M

The Rodin Museum in Philadelphia houses the second largest collection of Aguste Rodins
sculptural work in the world. Over the course of 80 years the building, which resides on the Ben
Franklin Parking adjacent to the Barnes Museum and Philadelphia Museum of Art, had fallen into
disrepair. The gardens were overgrown and uninviting. The project included creating two
underground water retention basins, adding a new drive access at the rear of the museum,
replacing the collapsing retaining wall at the rear of the structure, cleaning/repairs/and restoring
the masonry for the building and monument, and completely revitalizing the fences and gardens.
Lighting and pedestrian pathways were added. The museum was brought to a modern standard and
has reestablished itself as a cultural icon.
I helped to develop roof and fa巽ade restoration plans. Wrote scopes of work, subcontracts, RFIs.

The Lane Center is the student center for Frostburg State Univeristy. The center was originally built
in the 1970s and was undersized for the current student population and in need or modern upgrades.
The project included a 30,000 SF three story addition, selective demolition, creation of a grand
entrance, and adding features typical of modern student centers and offices. The project was
certified LEED silver. Challenges included completion over the very difficult mountain winter.
I prepared and reviewed contracts, invoices, requisitions, scopes of work, and submittals.
Quantified and compiled change orders, purchase orders, and RFIs. Assisted Project Manager and
Superintendent on site with trouble shooting and quality control.
Cherrydale Apartment Complex Renovation $6.8M

The Cerrydale Apartment complex is a HUD community in south Baltimore. It is an 18 building
complex with over 180 apartment units. The project included refurbishing every apartment unit on
site, replacing all HVAC elements, adding 12 ADA accessible units, an ADA accessible pathway
around the campus, and re-roofing all of the structures. Challenges included coordinating the
turnover of buildings so that the occupants from the next group would be moved into the recently
completed group of buildings.
