"Content viewing" audit log report is not available with SharePoint Online. Youll have to use Security & Compliance portal, logged in as Global Admin.
Run audit reports in O365
- 1. Audit Reports O365 SharePoint Online "Content viewing" audit log report is not available with SharePoint Online. Youll have to use Security & Compliance portal, logged in as Global Admin.
- 2. Step 1 Access http://portal.office.com (with admin account)
- 3. Step 2 Click the Tiles icon, then Click the Security & Compliance tile
- 4. Step 3 Click Reports from the left panel
- 5. Step 4 Click View reports under Reports
- 6. Step 5 Click Office 365 audit log report
- 7. Step 6 On the Audit log search Select Activities, Start Date, End Date etc.
- 8. Step 7 Under the left pane you have Results. You can Filter results and Export results.
- 9. Step 8 Now, download the file.
