This document discusses the morphology of several plants from the Rutaceae family that are used in Ayurvedic medicine. It describes the leaves, flowers, fruits, roots and other physical characteristics of Aegle marmelos, Citrus medica, Feronia elephantum, Murraya koenigii, Citrus aurantfolia, Zanthoxylum rhesta and Citrus aurantium. commonly known
as mousambi, musambi, sweet
lime, sweet lemon, and sweet limetta, it
is a member of the sweet lemons. It is a
cross between the citron (Citrus medica)
and a bitter orange (Citrus aurantium).
It is native to southern regions of Iran and
also cultivated in the Mediterranean
