Beginning in January, SCORE is offering a new three part Social Media Workshop designed to
help new and existing businesses successfully employ Social Media as a marketing tool to
grow the business.

The three part course is taught by Fox Interactive Consultants along with Virtual Options with
the end objective of creating a network that is specifically targeted to your business. The
course is a combination of lecture, case studies and hands on computer implementation.
There is a three week break between sessions for attendees to do some homework and to
assimilate and use the course material.

                                       Session Content

Session 1: Getting Started in Social Media
          o
          o   Learn how to create profiles and build a network
          o   Become acquainted with the best Social Media for business
          o   Difference between Facebook profiles and Facebook Fan Pages
          o   Common mistakes when building a Fan Page
          o   Reasons why your LinkedIn profile is crucial to business success
          o   Create LinkedIn personal profiles and build your business profile
          o   Case study successes and failures


Session 2: Adding to your Social Media strategies
          o
          o   Learn 20 ways to network on Facebook and other Social Media
          o   Establish business Best Practices and Social Media policies
          o   Learn ways to blend the marketing mix effectively
          o   Getting the most out of your existing Social Media applications
          o   Adding other Social Media applications
          o   Case studies on Social Media policy and Best Practices
Session 3: Evaluating Your Social Media Strategies And Increasing Their Effectiveness

   o Bring your Social Media program Logins for this hands on computer training
     Session
   o Getting the right tools in place to manage your social marketing efforts
     Effectively
   o Learn ways to be authentic and to reach out and engage clients
   o Creating a strategy and a Social Media marketing mix
   o Quick ways to find, create and build content


All workshops sessions are on Tuesdays from 10 AM to 12 Noon at SCORE at the Disney
Entrepreneur Center. Each workshop builds on the proceeding session, so attending all three
sessions is strongly encouraged.
