Pursuing the next generation value potential and possibilities amidst the new-age and
unconventionally evolving socio-political-behavioural landscape by comingling traditional and
contemporary Information Technology capabilities with the knowledge and learning from History,

beyond the debilitating and shrinking economic cycles and deferred costs.

telecommunications provider, and thereafter in the Automotive sector via the worlds largest automotive
supplier (based in Germany), Satya was asked to develop the vision and strategies to build a division
focused on the Transport, Resources, Utilities & Energy (TRUE) sectors within the Asia-Pacific region. From
a vision, with a curiosity on both Supply & Demand side, and with clarity of purpose supported by an
exceptionally well-defined strategy developed by Satya, this nascent division grew from a zero revenue base
to now delivering tens of millions of dollars per annum to Infosyss Australasian business.
Key	Achievements:	
 Developed a vendor-partner-based outsourcing strategy for the largest telecommunication
organization in Australia; taking inputs from the business plan, synthesized best-practices from
telecom industries world-wide, and leveraging from the ETOM process model. Achieved acceptance
from both business and technology bodies from within the business. Multi-year IT&S transformation
program to align with best-in-class practices delivering 30% demonstrable savings from annual
Capex / Opex of more than AUD 1 billion. At the end of the 5-year term, more than 45% savings with

 Successfully lead the Infosys response team to Telecommunication major outsourcing deal, with a
deal value > AUD 55 million annually over 5 years. Engagement renewed for the next 5-year term.
 Transition from both internal and external service providers into steady state leading more than 600
professionals, spread across multiple geographies, and with a diverse cultural and professional mix.
 Developed a best-practices-based IT effectiveness and optimisation strategy for the Germany-based
benevolent corporation, the worlds largest automotive supplier, addressing diverse geographical
and product businesses with a key ask: reduce the cost of IT&S by 20% without sacrificing current
SLAs; where ROI and ROC were measured against and beyond industry of relevance by the
Supervisory Board. Engagement included several initiatives covering Product Life Engineering
encompassing embedded software / hardware design and prototyping / SCADA & Control systems.
 From existing spend on Opex / Capex of over 1.5 billion Euros, delivered cost savings in excess of
30%, employed best sourcing mix strategy. Later, this was folded into the companys captive, based
in India. Introduced a Shared Services model to drive Integration / design optimization / deployment
of functionally integrated common business processes, practices and technologies to cut waste,
duplication and opaqueness.
 Developed a defined value proposition, which led to the creation and development of the business
relationship between Infosys and the Germany-based automotive organization, into multiple-
$millions of business over a period of 2+ years.
 Developed IT&S + BPO transformation strategy for a global resource major.
 Blue-ocean strategy focused on Transport, Resources, Energy and Utilities for the region: matching
the possibilities between external and internal imperatives, including competitive landscape,
leveraging various horizontal and vertical capabilities of Infosys.

 This addressed the market and opportunity landscape, organizational offerings and capabilities,
sales strategy, investments, delivery strategies (leveraging both local and global capabilities) with
agreed milestones and performance parameters.
 Acquired and developed three major telecommunications / infrastructure services organizations as
customers.
 Successfully led and delivered a transformation program to streamlet wireless and wire-line
interactions for more than two million customers. Program value to CTP was over USD40 million;
resulting in savings of over USD100 million to customer annually. This further enabled customer
stickiness and cross-selling capabilities of the organization.
 During tenure, developed the business from around USD7 million to more than USD80 million.
 Delivered on all agreed parameters of revenue growth, margins, people management, brand
preservation and consolidation. CTP was included in the leadership quadrant by Gartner in the IT&S
service providers to Telecommunications business.
 Led a team of more than 400 professionals, including sales, solutions, management and technology.
 P&L responsibility for the practice.
 Returned to Australia, after Novell Corporation of USA acquired Cambridge Technologies Partners.

Background:	
Responsible for USA West Coast business; from Strategy to Execution; Business Development to Delivery;
People Development with P&L responsibility. Started the United States West Coast business for Hexaware
Technologies and developed into sustainable multi-million dollar business. Instrumental in forging the key
alliance between Hexaware and PeopleSoft, resulting in a dedicated development and support centre for
PeopleSoft within Hexaware. This grew to staff strength of over 300 professionals.
