F O R T H E I N F O R M A T I O N O F E M P L O Y E E S A N D N O T F O R P U B L I C A T I O N 2017SAFE Notice SAFE Notice No. 152 – 2017 Page 1 ATP – TESTING Approval is given for ATP train testing on the Down Main line between Gosford and Wyong in accordance with the possession arrangements detailed in Special Train Notice No. 0601 – 2017. A Qualified Worker must be provided to carry out the following: • Obtain a Local Possession Authority in accordance with the procedures shown in NWT 302 for the defined portion of track as shown in Special Train Notice No. 0601 – 2017. • Come to a clear and proper understanding with the Train Crew in regards to the possession limits, the test area limits and all train operational requirements to carry out the testing. • For any wrong direction movements, any facing points must be secured with a point clip and be locked unless the signal protecting the points can be cleared. • Authorise the special train to run in both the Up and Down directions within the possession area as required. During this working, the Driver must operate the train from the leading carriage in the direction of travel at ALL times. ENGINEERING WORK During the possession NO fixed worksites, work trains or track vehicles will be permitted to traverse or occupy the Down Main line (except for the passage of the special train to be used for testing) within the possession area. No persons other than those associated with the train testing are permitted within the possession area. 152 GOSFORD – WYONG On Monday night/Tuesday morning, 15 – 16 May 2017 On Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, 16 – 17 May 2017 On Wednesday night/Thursday morning, 17 – 18 May 2017 On Thursday night/Friday morning, 18 – 19 May 2017 In conjunction with Special Train Notice No. 0601 – 2017, the following Safeworking arrangements will apply: PILOT STAFF WORKING (UP MAIN LINE): WYONG – GOSFORD Pilot staff working in accordance with the procedures shown in NSY 516 will be introduced on the Up Main line between Signal No. WG8 and WG6 at Wyong and Signal No. GF112 at Gosford. WORK ON TRACK Any work on track to be performed in the Pilot Staff Working section must be in accordance with the Network Rules and Network Procedures.
