WHAT IS BIM?
BIM is the next generation of 4d
visualizing and creation. since the
era of architect, the movement of
BIM was predicted, they used to
draw with stones, pencils, now we
use computers, inside the
computers every year they create a
new software to make engineers
life easier and to minimize errors
on site.

SAFETY IMPLEMENTATION IN BIM
ABSTRACT
? Safety is a major issue on construction sites. people work high in the air on
buildings. unless proper safety equipment is installed, workers may fall from
the open edges of a building. Therefore, timely erection of barriers is essential.
? Since modern construction for large-buildings is managed through computer
platforms, a tool was created that simplifies the model creation and tracking of
installation of the barricades.
UNFORTUNATELY WITH THE MODERN SOFTWARES WE HAVE, STILL THERE IS ZERO
CONCERN IN SAFETY.
? BIM can provide us the tools to get the perfect result and to minimize mistakes
as well as time management, the idea of it is to create a 3D world to the
customer, engineer, and to the client.
? Movement of BIM is what we should be focusing in, what does it do, what kind
of task it could do, why BIM is the ideal program of all, and how we can
implement our safety into BIM?
There are many different risks that construction workers face on the job. the occupational
safety & health administration (osha) has identified the top causes of injuries on
construction sites, which include:
? Falling from heights during construction ¨C a worker may fall from a building, scaffolding
or piece of machinery to the ground below. workers can also fall into holes or ditches on
construction sites.
? Trench collapse ¨C when a trench collapses, a worker¡¯s air supply can be cut off, and the
worker can be buried alive or suffer crushing injuries.
? Collapsed scaffolding ¨C osha has strict rules to ensure the safety and stability of
scaffolding, but things can still go wrong, causing a worker to plunge to his death or to fall
and sustain serious injury.
? Electric shock and or arc flash/blast ¨C working with generators, power tools, machinery
