Man, the Dominant Species A Safety Montage Thanks to Dave Thompson AMCS(AW) retired
Once upon a time, man had the skyscraper.
As society grew in sophistication, one of the benefits of technology was miniaturization.
This improvement easily lent itself to mankinds entrepreneurial spirit.
The diversification of markets introduced new variations.
These variations took many forms.
We were proud of our achievements
  of our innovations.
Our ingenuity allowed us to reach new heights.
But regardless of our technological advancements
the world is still a dangerous place.
As if behind every tree
theres something coming up behind us
or waiting to fall on us
or to jump out and bite us.
We dont always see all the hazards
 or the 辱ٴڲ
or the obstructions in our way
 but there are many.
Some hazards are
 and some are small.
They can be found everywhere
 in our ⲹ
 in the Ǵڴھ
 when were ٰԲ
  when were do-it-yourself-in.
Dont take your safety for granted
even if youve done a job a thousand times before
Accidents happen when we least expect them
 when we push the envelope
 when we exceed design limitations
 act carelessly or recklessly
 or improperly use safety equipment.
Or sometimes, in spite of our best efforts.
Clear and effective dzܲԾپDzԡ
is essential to achieving a positive safety culture.
Leaders must be positive role models...
 as well as communicate support.
Safety must be engineered into our day-to-day routines.
Following precautions is a must.
We cant ignore
 the signs.
Safety isnt something to joke around about.
Dont be nuts... be safe.
The End
