The document outlines a simulation exercise where teams must coordinate a response to a typhoon in Sinica using the Sahana platform, including receiving reports of incidents like landslides and power outages to investigate and record findings. The teams may also receive offers of resources to pledge and must form projects to track their response activities.

SahanaCamp Simulation Handout
A Typhoon has swept through the Sinica causing massive amounts of damage
and cutting people off from supplies.
Together with your team members you will form an organisation which will
help to respond to this disaster.
This will require you to respond to the information you receive and navigate in
the field using GPS to collect new information. Where possible collect
photographs of filed locations.
Ensure that you enter all information you gather into Sahana so as to
coordinate with the other organisations responding to this disaster
If you are under taking any actions, such as visiting the field, you should create
a project to represent this.
If you need to report anything while you are in the field, send an SMS to the
base station: +856028500758.
Initially:
1. Decide on a name for your organisation and register it in Sahana
2. Register this organisation in Sahana
3. Add yourselves as staff to the organisation
4. Stand by for future updates
