Rose was born in Lima, Peru and always tried to help people and obeyed her parents with a smile. Though beautiful, she said only inner beauty mattered. When her parents became poor, Rose worked tirelessly to help them and bring food to the homes of the poor. Rose died at age 31 and was the first saint of the Americas.

A rich man wanted to marry Rose but she refused as she wanted to serve God.
