This document provides a diagram and details of a sample cable television headend. It shows signals from 4 DS channels being split and transmitted over coaxial cable at frequencies between 717-735 MHz with power levels between 12.5-39 dBm. It then describes the path of the signals through various splitters, combiners, amplifiers and optical transmitters before being transmitted to customer premises equipment. Loss levels over the coaxial cable runs are also specified.
