The Sangath Architect's Studio in Ahmedabad, India was designed by architect B.V. Doshi with a focus on climate considerations. It makes extensive use of vaulted ceilings and indirect natural lighting to diffuse heat and glare from the sun. Daylight is drawn into the building through large north-facing openings, skylights projecting from the roof, and small cutouts in the roof filled with glass blocks. The design includes vegetation, water features, and grassy steps serving as an informal amphitheater. The roof uses various layers including concrete, ceramic tiles, waterproofing, china mosaic tiles, and a broken china mosaic surface that is both insulative and provides texture.

4. INDIRECT LIGHT
:- SUN LIGHT BRINGS HEAT AND HAZE WITH IT. TO MAXIMIZE THE DAYLIGHT
(INTENSITY OF ILLUMINATION) AND TO DIFFUSED HEAT AND GLARE, THE
LIGHT IS RECEIVED IN INDIRECT MANNER BY DIFFUSING IT.
5. THERE ARE THREE WAYS BY WHICH NATURAL LIGHT IS DRAWN WITHIN
1. BY UPPER-LEVEL LARGE OPENINGS TOWARDS NORTH DIRECTION, WHICH IS
COOL, AND CONSISTENT LIGHT IS REFLECTED OFF THE CLOUDS.
2. SKYLIGHTS, WHICH ARE PROJECTED MASSES FROM THE ROOF, REFLECT THE
LIGHT ON THE WHITE INNER WALL SURFACE, WHICH FURTHER RADIATES LIGHT
INTO THE ROOM.
3. INTERMOST SPACES ARE LIT UP THROUGH SMALL CUT OUTS IN THE ROOF SLAB,
WHICH ARE THEN FILLED WITH HOLLOW GLASS BLOCKS THAT TAKE AWAY THE
GLARE AND TRANSMIT DIFFUSED LIGHT.
