PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Software Engineer 3 at PayPal Inc, San Jose September 2018  Present
 Currently working as a Software Engineer in the Financial Instrument Platform team which is at the heart of
what PayPal does and handles the backend services which are responsible for the Paypal wallet page and add
card, bank and other instruments.
 Previously was a part of the Open Banking payments team which is responsible for enabling faster and easier
linking of banks to the PayPal wallet. Was also part of the Transaction Engine team (Fulfillment team) which is
at the heart of what PayPal does and was responsible for modeling the system of record (SOR).
 My responsibilities include but are not limited to designing, developing and testing of features delivered via
applications and services. Part of my job also involves interaction with the operations team to ensure that the
applications are highly available and reliable.
 This role enables me to use different cutting-edge technologies like JAVA, Spring, RESTful API, C++ and Kafka
in a commercial setting.
Software Developer at IBM, San Jose June 2017  August 2018
 Worked as a Software Developer for the IBM API Connect with technologies like Node.js and Java.
 Work involved designing and developing application programming interfaces, services that are clean,
scalable, and meet critical architectural goals.
 Fixed and resolved defects and bugs and provided development support for the product and the services
offered.
 Worked directly with customers to understand and troubleshoot issues.
 Enabled continuous deployment and availability by designing, developing, and creating automated
frameworks, processes and test cases based on the requirements.
 Built and managed testing environments and assisted in debugging application issues.
 Actively participated in design reviews and discussions and contributed to all aspects of the development
cycle to drive the project to completion.
Software Engineering Intern at VMware Inc, Palo Alto June 2016  August 2016
 Designed and developed an Analytics Tool for the Life Cycle Manager Team (EVO SDDC) which performs
analysis of product upgrade data and provides useful statistics and analysis as a Web UI.
 Used Java Spring to implement REST services which were consumed by the Web UI, developed using C3.js
and HTML.
 Also wrote a Test Framework for generating controlled dummy data for testing the REST APIs and the
functionality of the Tool.
 Presented the Tool as a part of an internal paper presentation seminar to the managers of different teams
convincing them of the usability of the Proof of Concept which would help in effective utilization of the
product upgrade and telemetry data.
 Participated in code reviews which facilitated clean and optimal code to maintain the quality of the software.
 Worked on small components related to the API responsible for the different stages of the product upgrade.
