This document analyzes the representation of women in street names across several neighborhoods in Barcelona. It finds that out of a total of 138 streets named after people, only 22 (around 16%) are named after women. It argues that women are still often viewed primarily as objects, mothers, or obligations to society rather than as full and equal human beings. It calls for empowering women by calling out sexism, normalizing women's bodies, supporting victims, embracing diversity among women, and using one's voice and privilege to advocate for women.
