Charlotte Piper organized a Community Hymn Sing event at Hebron Lutheran Church in Blairsville, PA as a social action project. She took a hymnology course to help plan the event, got council approval, advertised through flyers and email, and selected hymns representing different periods and cultures to cover in the sing. The event covered the history of eight hymns from various periods and traditions. In reflection, Piper would like to expand the event in the future to be longer with registration, lunch, and more material covered.

6. Reflection
Next time, I would like to expand upon the event and make it at least a few
hours long. It would even be fun to have an all-day event that would require
registration so that there could be a lunch provided, materials
distributed, and much more material covered. Over all, I consider the event a
success and I look forward to expanding upon it in the future.
