The Pestalozzi Programme organized a tandem workshop called "Different Children - Equal Opportunities" in Latvia and Belarus in April-October 2013. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about inclusive education and identify elements for inclusive teaching through sharing good practices and developing training materials. Twenty participants from Council of Europe member states attended and worked on developing sensitivity, knowledge, and skills for inclusive practices. One participant, Roberto Cirelli from Italy, developed and tested a training unit where students with and without special educational needs worked collaboratively in groups to create Mandalas using English words. The activity aimed to foster inclusive techniques, cooperation, and utilizing mixed abilities. Evaluation found it successfully achieved inclusion in a more integrated way compared to traditional separate learning
