Selena Gomez is an American singer and actress born in 1992 in Texas. She began her career as a child actress, appearing in Barney & Friends in 2002. Some of her early acting roles included films like Spy Kids 3D and television shows like Hannah Montana. Her breakthrough role was in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, where she played the main character Alex Russo. Since then, she has balanced her career between music, television, and film, while also taking on philanthropic work as a UNICEF ambassador focusing on helping children in need around the world.
