Why LinkedIn?
1) Secure Google Search Results for your name or business name
2) Build your network and maintain relationships
3) Research and approach key decision makers and future clients
4) Publish articles that can appear in Google Search Results
5) Engage with relevant content for professional knowledge and
branding purposes
https://sueellson.quora.com/The-Benefits-of-LinkedIn

can verify your authenticity.

https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/communications-controls/inapp and choose Network and turn them off
Ask people to Follow you rather than Connect with you, change the setting here
https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/allow-follow
4. Set realistic objectives for publishing
Posts and Articles
If you Liked, Commented or Shared other people’s content once a week, Posted in the Newsfeed once a month
and wrote three Articles a year, you would probably be more active than most of the 5.5 million average monthly
users in Australia!
Engagement ratio 12:1 – you engage 12 times, you post 1 time
Video content currently more popular at the moment, be careful not to overuse
Use images that are created in a landscape direction and select images that have one or more faces and tell a
story in their own right.
Incorporate hashtags (# subject), tags (@ names) and even emojis (if you are on a desktop or laptop, copy them
from http://getemoji.com) in Posts
Search Engine Optimise your Articles so that they can generate lifetime digital asset value

5. Be very clear about how to generate
Leads, Sales and Results
If you have a website, make sure it WORKS before you start trying to use LinkedIn.
Contact details must be visible, you must explain how you can help people, your
website must take less than three seconds to load and be easy to navigate.
You must abide by the LinkedIn User Agreement
https://www.linkedin.com/legal/user-agreement,
in particular, the Do’s and Don’ts in Section 8.
This means that you can’t have someone else managing your LinkedIn Account for you
from another location, you can’t use automation tools and if you send too many
Connection requests to people you don’t know, you risk having your account deleted
without notice. Think very carefully about your true target audience and just reach out
to them and do not, under any circumstances, spam or annoy people as they can
report you.
