Prayer for Family Members of MH17 Victims
Father God, we come to You as a church and as Your people. Father, we
remember this time, Lord, the loved ones and the family members of
those on board MH17.
Father, You are the God of all comfort, You can comfort us in ways that
no man can. You can reach deep down Lord and touch all our hurting
places. Touch these families, Lord I pray. Father unveil Your love to
them, bless them richly and bind up their broken hearts. Pour in the
healing oil and reviving wine into their emotions. And let the balm of
Gilead, our Lord Jesus Christ heal their hearts.
Father, we thank You. Father, You are the God who comforts us in all our
troubles. In Jesus name, Amen.
2. Church Reading of Psalm 91
with One Voice One Heart
Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the
Lord, ^He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will
trust. ̄
Surely He shall deliv er you from the snare of the fowler And
from the perilous pestilence. He shall cov er you with His
feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth
shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the
terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the
pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that
lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your
right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your
eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
Because you hav e made the Lord, who is my refuge, Ev en the
Most High, your dwelling place, No ev il shall befall you, Nor
shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall giv e
His angels charge ov er you, To keep you in all your ways. In
their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot
against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
^Because he has set his lov e upon Me, therefore I will deliv er
him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with
him in trouble; I will deliv er him and honor him. With long
life I will satisfy him, And show him My salv ation. ̄

PSALM 91 IN ACTION
1 MIRACLE OF DUNKIRK
During World War 2, British troops were trapped in Dunkirk, between
the advancing Nazi forces and the English channel. C.B. Morelock, a
war correspondent reported that a group of 400 men were exposed on
the Dunkirk beach to enemy attack without cover. Not a single man
died. Survivors reported that they were shouting Psalm 91 at the top of
their lungs.
(Psalm 91 by Peggy Joyce Ruth)
WORLD WAR 2 LONDON BOMBING 2
During World War 2, the German air force Luftwaffe
bombed London. People took shelter and houses were
levelled but amidst the rubble stood the house of an
elderly lady who had safely slept through the air raid. Her
trust was on the Lord's protection and the promises in
Psalm 91.
5. Secret of Protection

Gospel in the stars
God showed Abram the
gospel in the stars
from Virgo (the virgin
birth) to Leo (Lion of
Judah). Abram believed
and was justified by
faith
Genesis
16
Grace above law
Genesis 16 is all about
Sarah and Hagar. The
bondwoman, Hagar (law)
must submit to Sarah
(grace). Abraham is faith
and Sarah is grace.
Genesis
17:1
Almighty
The Lord revealed
Himself as Almighty
when Abram was 99
years old. When Abram
could no longer rely on
human efforts, God
blessed him and made
him fruitful.
After you are justified by faith put law
under grace and not grace under law!
7. Take Refuge in Jesus
- Jesus is willing and able to protect us
- But Jesus will not force protection upon us (Matthew
23:37)
- We need to ask Jesus for protection
- Only Jesus can put us in the right place, in the right time
to
keep us away from all evil
Salvation Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the
gift of Your Son. What a wonderful
gift. Thank You that you never gave
up on us even when we sinned. You
could have started a new creation
but You never forsook man. You
loved all of us.
You love me and sent Your Son as
my divine substitute. On that cross
all my sins met its just punishment
in the body of Christ. So today I can
stand in the full light of your
favour, knowing full well that You
will never impute on me all the sins
that were imputed on Christ.
Thank You Father, You raised Him
from the dead without my sins.
Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour,
now and forever. In Jesus name,
Amen!
Benediction
Heavenly Father, this coming week,
I thank You that You have gone
before me, prepared the way for
me and my family. You have
removed the obstacles, closed
some doors and opened some
doors.
Thank You for making the crooked
places straight. Heavenly Father,
You are my refuge and my family's.
Our fortress, our hiding place. In
You we trust. Surely all week You
deliver my family and I from every
deadly disease, from every
sickness, from every danger, from
accidents, from harm, from terror,
from evil people, from all the
powers of darkness, from all the
powers of the evil one and You
have crowned my family and I with
divine favour and Your favour goes
before us this day, this week and
prepares the way. Thank You
Father. In Jesus name, Amen!
