I possess a B.sc degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, and an Associate
Chartered Accountant (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
I have been working in the development sector for the past six (6) years in different capacities
specifically finance, Grant and Contract, Administration, Compliance and Control, etc. This has given
me an in-depth knowledge of USG and other international organizations policies, guidelines and
regulations governing Grant, accounting, compliance, control and Administration.
I currently work as the Finance Analyst with Save the Children International, Abuja, where I support
SCI Nigeria Country program compliance with Save the Childrens accounting policy, donor
requirements and generally accepted accounting principles through the development and

supported a range of grantees implementing the projects intervention programs across 26 states in
Nigeria.
I also worked as an Accounts /Finance Officer with UKaid/DFID funded Support to National Malaria
Program (SuNMaP) in Awka, Anambra State, where I was responsible for all financial transactions of
the program.
Furthermore, I have attended USAID/CDC funded trainings on Leadership Development, Proposal
Development, Finance and Grant Management, as well as webinars and round table discussion with

Financial Accounting, Reporting, and Control
 Manage the Country Office financial systems and provide the manager with feedback on the budget
variance analysis and lead the monthly finance meetings with various budget holders.
 Submit timely financial reports to Centre, Regional Office and donors as required
 Ensure that effective systems are put in place, and regularly reviewed, to allow adequate financial
management and controls including:
o Accounting and management information systems;
o Cash and cash flow management and control in particular gain/losses on currency exchange;
o Financial procedures during emergency responses, including meeting all relevant
responsibilities in the Rules and Principles for Emergency Response;
o Expenditure procedures, especially around procurement;
o Documentation of all controls and procedures;
o Finance training for staff in the field and partners as necessary;

during planning and allocation exercises; (c) monitoring implementation of donor agreements and
resource utilization. Highlight variances, provide analyses and recommend resolution or reallocation of

 Participate in the Identification and effective management of all key risks, especially financial, related
to delivering the Country Office program.

 Ensure correct level of budget authority exists within Country Office.
 Support the SFM/FD in management of financial aspects of budget development for new proposals
 Ensure budget holders understand their responsibilities (e.g., through training).
 Ensure sub-offices receive adequate support to operate efficient accounting systems, including timely
receipt of monthly budget variance analysis by budget holders, timely answers to queries and
scheduling tasks and deadlines.
 Support country annual planning (CAP) process and Master budget development and reporting.
 Support FM in ensuring enforcement of Financial Compliance and management at all levels within
country program.
 Support on member and donor relationships including financial compliance, management and

developed, phased correctly and are available for uploading into the financial system in a timely fashion.
 Ensure that all budgets are entered into the financial system Aggressor and phased correctly.
 Develop and tailor budget templates, tools, and justifiable costing strategies in accordance with SCI
policy.
Award Management
 Support completion of financial reports for awards/contracts. Ensure proper accounting and closing of
