Simple, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound goals should be set. Goals should be easy to understand and achieve with minimal effort for maximum output. They should have quantifiable measures of what is to be accomplished, such as the number of shoes to sell in a day. Goals also need to be reasonably achievable and not exceed one's abilities, as production may differ between workers. Goals must be relevant to what one wants to accomplish and include a specific timeframe for achievement.
