Flowering plants reproduce sexually through a process involving flowers, pollination, fertilization, and seed production. Pollen from the male parts of the flower is transferred to the female parts through pollinators like insects, birds, or wind. Once pollen reaches the female parts, fertilization occurs when the male gametes from the pollen grain unite with the female gametes in the ovule, forming seeds that contain a new embryo plant.
