Sexual violence means
that someone forces or
manipulates someone
else into unwanted sexual
activity without their
consent.

sexual violence including:
children, teens, adults,
and elders. Those who
sexually abuse can be
acquaintances, family
members, trusted
individuals or strangers.
 Psychological factors:
Personality disorders with predominant
dependent, phobic and compulsive
personality traits
Social factors
We find situations such as women as a means
of consumption, sexist language, maleness.
Situational factors:
The use of drugs and alcohol consumption can
precipitate sexual assault or can be an element
to carry out such acts
 The data indicates that male and
female survivors may experience
similar behavioral, social, and
mental health
consequences.
 Girls and women bear
the heaviest burden of
trauma and illness resulting
from sexual violence.
 Women may have
unwanted
pregnancies,
unsafe abortions,
and an increased
risk of sexually
transmitted
infections.
