WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF CAREER GUIDANCE?
Why there are people who are not in the right career? Lack of Planning - Basically, everything that we want to do, to be or to have in life can be planned. Lack of Purpose - People themselves are not clear what they want in a job or career.
Why there are people who are not in the right career? Lack of Motivation - People may not have the inner drive to start it or to keep at it. Lack of Time - The motivation may be there but " I haven't the time now"
Why there are people who are not in the right career? Lack of self-knowledge. - People are not clear about their interests, their skills, their needs and values.
Self - knowledge Interest your likes & dislikes
Self - knowledge Values are the things that you believe are important in the way you live and work.
Self - knowledge Skills An ability to do an activity or job well, esp. because you have practiced it.

What is Career Planning? CAREER PLANNING - is a deliberate process of knowing WHO we are so that we can be sure WHERE we want to go or WHAT we want to be at some defined point in the future.
Steps and Process of Career Planning Know yourself or self-assessment Attitudes Interests Personality Needs Values skills Explore opportunities - in the organization or outside the organization for jobs or careers that fit your self- assessment.
Steps and Process of Career Planning Narrow down your list and get valid, accurate and timely information about each of your top options Money Matters - It should be part of your major choice. - Its one thing you must always factor in, Its a Reality. Set your goals Choose/decide on the best option for the present; Develop your action plan

ROLE OF PARENTS IN CHILDRENS CAREER SELECTION 1. Parents motivate children Parents motivate their children and help them make good choice of career. They motivate them to never give up and work hard until they have achieved the desired path of success and fulfillment.
ROLE OF PARENTS IN CHILDRENS CAREER SELECTION 2. Helps in the decision making process role of a parent is to guide them right and assist them in making choices which otherwise seem difficult to finalize.
