The aim of our research is to follow the impact of
American cartoon viewing on childrens

We associate childrens development with school
achievements, intelligent. We consider an intelligent
person to be well-read, he or she spends much time
on optional reading.
3. Hypothesis
1.Children who watch more American cartoons are lower in
school achievement than children who spend less time
watching American cartoons.
2.Children who watch less American cartoons may spend
more time reading books than children who watch
American cartoons
3.Children whose parents do not restrict watching American
cartoons they may watch more American cartoons than
children whose parents do impose rules to restrict their
viewing time.

5. The subject of the research
In December-February 2011-2012, a representative sample of
100 students of school 1 were interviewed about their
American cartoon viewing habits.
Respondents were between ages 11-12. 49,5 % were girls and
50,5% were boys.
