Sissi was a valuable member of the Ideas on Design team throughout 2016. She was nominated for the position by her university and selected for the role from an interview with the Design Foundation. Ideas on Design presents Australia’s premier international design events and draws on the experiences and connections built over 25 years presenting the agIdeas International Design Conferences in Melbourne Australia. Founded by Ken Cato AO, agIdeas is one of the longest running and most well respected design programs in the world. Sissi worked as an intern with the Design Foundation throughout 2016, and assisted in all aspects of producing and presenting the Ideas of Design programs which included promotion, ticket sales, administration and hosting VIP guests. Sissi was also responsible for developing the motion graphics for our Design Futures secondary school program which was attended by over 1000 high school students, and worked directly with our Chairman, Ken Cato who was the creative director on this project. Sissi was selected from her peers based on her ability to work under pressure, in a demanding role that requires a high degree of professionalism and motivation. She is capable of working autonomously and also as an effective team member. She has good communication skills and is able to present herself professionally with a range of stakeholders.
