Phase 1 was opened December19th 2009, and provides 4200m2 of office space for the Baker Hughes management and staff, as well as the reception and employee canteen. Precautions have been taken to protect the local environment in that the buildings are retracted from the main road, and the level of the work shops are being lowered referenced to the surroundings.The extepansion is 18.700 m2, based on ca 5.500 m2 of office space in phase 2 and additional workshop facilities of ca 12.000 m2. Also the exterior ground and storage space is increased by ca 45.000 m2. The total investment of this project is 500 mnok and will when its complete comprise a building masss of 40.000 m2 including 460 offices and workshops on a 100.000 m2 yard.
