CLIL PROGRAMME: 4th ESO & Bto students were invited to the Natural History Museum in IES Canarias Cabrera Pinto where teacher Maruca Juan showed them their collection of mammals, birds, reptiles,... Later on, we walked around the historic area of La Laguna, getting to know some of its more interesting landmarks. THANKS TO OUR STUDENTS FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION AND COLLABORATION

to the historic sights in San Crist坦bal de La Laguna San Crist坦bal de La Laguna was declared City World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999

The Instituto Canarias was established in 1846 and it was the first high school in the Canary Islands.
The Teide blue finch is an endemic bird. Its scientific name is Fringilla Teydea Teydea. In Spanish: Pinz坦n Azul del Teide
The students had to complete the activities of the Museum questionnaire in English.
Some students asked the questions directly to the birds
We thank the teacher Ms Maruca Juan, Biology teacher at IES Canarias C.P., for being our bilingual guide in the Museum.
All of us had a good time
Geometrical shapes in La Laguna
We learnt about Wood work, decor ated tiles, Mud辿jar architecture, etc.
We finished our visit at the Real Sociedad Econ坦mica de Amigos del Pa鱈s
We saw an exhibition with documents about the bicentenary of the 1812 Spanish Constitution
Now we know La Laguna from a different point of view
The teachers want to thank the students for their collaboration and participation in this school visit to La Laguna THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
