This document introduces the SmartLesson plugin for Moodle, which expands the capabilities of Moodle's Lesson feature. SmartLesson allows content in different Lesson resources to be combined and reused across lessons. It enables adaptive content based on student knowledge and individualized learning paths. The key features of SmartLesson highlighted are its focus on reusable, granular content and adaptability. Menus and navigational maps are discussed as potential additions to improve SmartLesson's user interface. Development of SmartLesson is ongoing with an invitation for others to test the existing functions and provide feedback.

The Lesson feature ? The Lesson feature allows you to create pages and content; ? Question pages; ? Allows you to group and create clusters of questions for random access;
The Lesson feature ? It allows to create content branches and / or questions that lead to different paths; ? It allows to set prerequisites as condition for access to others resource;
The Lesson feature ? It allow to connect to another activity after finish a lesson; ? It allows the insertion of several kind of media;
The Lesson feature ? Lesson is based on HTML and allow to create web-pages with media, images, links, forms, and all kind of strategy to build and deliver contents and activities; ? It allows style setting with Cascade Style Sheet (CSS).
The Lesson feature ? The statistics logs allow inferences about the activities, it allows tracking the time the student takes to read certain content, verify the difficulties of content and of questions;
The Lesson feature We could say that is the Lesson feature is an authoring tool.
What is SmartLesson? ? The plugin SmartLesson is the adaptation of the resource of Moodle Lesson, that adds to this feature the possibility to "jump¡± from a SmartLesson to all other SmartLessons in the same Course.
What is SmartLesson? ? The SmartLesson enables the development of granular Learning Objects focusing on reuse in different instructional level;
What is SmartLesson? ? Enables adaptability of the content according to the previous knowledge of the student; ? It allows you to create a system of individualized content and activities for each student;
What is SmartLesson? ? A SmartLesson can jump to any page of another SmartLesson in the same course; ? The jumps can be setup on the selection option box of the view edit form;
What is SmartLesson? ? All the created page titles become also links in the body of content if they are present on it;
SmartLesson x Lesson ? All the SmartLesson setup follows exactly the setup of the Lesson feature, they have similar setup forms and the same parameters;
SmartLesson x Lesson ? The great advantage of SmartLesson is the ability to create granular content-based topics; ? Instead of having a collection of screens in a single resource Lesson, we have a collection of features of SmartLessons that can be combined and recombined;
SmartLesson x Lesson ¨C When the jump occurs from one SmartLesson to another, the SmartLesson undestand that this resource ended;
Why SmartLesson ? Focus on reuse; ? granular content; ? Adaptability.
Add on of SmartLesson ¨CMenu-Box It will allow the inclusion of all SmartLesson screens titles be included on one Block for navigational control, such as the Lesson menu.
Complementos do SmartLesson ¨CNavigational map Block that will enable the graphical display of the route made through the pages, it means through of several SmartLesson in a course.
SmartLesson ? The SmartLesson is under development; ? We have developed some functions and it are being tested;; Soon we will make it available to those who want test it and we welcome suggestions;
