The sixth grade class at Marlcliffe School had a snow graffiti lesson outside while the rest of the school had an indoor writing competition, with the prize being time to play in the snow and throw snowballs at their teacher, Mr. Brooks. Students created snow angels and had snowball fights, with one student, Laurence, writing a poem about enjoying the sight of nighttime snowball fights from his bedroom window before having to go back to sleep.

40. Snowball Fights.
Snow ball fights are a wonderful sight
In the night.
When I see that sight
I jump out of bed in delight.
To see the wonderful sight
In the night.
If I see one I look at the night clock
And it tells me I should be asleep.
This is the time I dont like.
So I fall asleep
And dream of night
Just like all the other children
Asleep at night.
I dream of thick snow
And very thick ice.
