Project SOARR is a nonprofit that brings together at-risk youth, local businesses, and environmental partners to build solar energy systems. It helps the youth gain technical skills and leadership experience while benefiting the community. Partners include Hot Water Products, RSVP, the Boys and Girls Club, Lee's Plumbing, and the Town of Somers. The project trained youth, had them install solar panels, and aims to expand its training programs and solar installations in 2020 through continued partnerships.
