Definition
ï‚— Sociologists usually consider a social
problem to be an alleged situation that
is incompatible with the values of a
significant number of people who
agree that action is needed to alter the
situation.
Social problems of Bangladesh
Bangladesh is attacked by various
social problem. The main problems
are over population ,lack of nutrition ,
beggary and vagabond problem,
dowry and women repression, lack of
proper distribution of wealth, lack of
security, drug addition, lack of sound
health ,etc
Population problems
ï‚— The country has a
population density of
1,115.62 people per
square kilometer
,(2,889.45/square mile),
which ranks 10th in the
world.
ï‚— The capital and largest
city of Bangladesh is
Dhaka, which has a
population of 14.4
million and a density of
19,447 people per square
mile (50,368/square
mile).

one of the major
problems in Bangladesh.

age of 30

ï‚— Increasing employment in agriculture
areas
ï‚— Establishing new industries
ï‚— Changing education system
ï‚— Exporting manpower
ï‚— Population control
Dowry system
ï‚— Through this custom the
bride has to give a large
amount of money,
furniture, ornaments
and many things to the
bridegroom.
ï‚— It is a very terrible
situation for the society.
ï‚— Women & their family
suffer a lot for this dowry
system.
Solution
ï‚— Raising social awareness
 Ensuring women’s right
ï‚— Boycotting the people who demand
dowry
ï‚— Anti dowry movement
Conclusion
Bangladesh faces many social problem
beside these problems . So, we should
strictly implement the above
prescription to eradicate major social
problems from our society.
