The Softball NSW Umpires Association has developed a five-year strategic plan from 2009-2014 centered around building and maintaining an organization ("Our House") to support umpiring in New South Wales. The plan identifies five key result areas: administration and management, service to softball, recruitment of umpires, development of umpires, and retention of umpires. It also outlines objectives to promote umpiring, cooperate with Softball NSW, adopt international softball rules, and assist affiliated associations.

- 4. SNSW Umpires Affiliations Support and provide umpiring services to SNSW. Conform with the SNSW Rules. Support the Nat Umpire Program and SAL. Provide umpiring opportunities for Nat. events. Adopt rules, regulations and umpiring mechanics as prescribed by ISF. Support the ISF on Committees
- 5. SNSW Umpires Objectives (1 of 2) To promote and develop softball umpiring within NSW To co-operate with and assist SNSW. To Function in conformity with the SNSW Rules. To adopt the rules of the game of Softball as issued by the ISF Playing Rules Commission and accepted and interpreted by the Softball Australia after adoption by the SNSW.
- 6. SNSW Umpires Objectives (2 of 2) To assist Affiliated Associations and Divisions of the SNSW to secure umpires. To maintain uniform interpretations of the Rules of Softball and their implementation. To Manage Softball Umpiring and Umpires in the State of New South Wales in accordance with SNSW Rules. To assist SNSW and SAL in any matters relating to umpires.
